Trait & Jackpot Lottery
Every day two lotteries are drawn within the game - the Trait and Jackpot Lotteries.
Profit share sources go into an epoch pot, which is then split 80/20% between the Trait and Jacpot Lottery prize pools.
Trait Lottery
The Trait lottery prize pool is 80% of the daily epoch pot.
Every epoch, 3 traits for a given attribute are drawn and all Zeebros with those traits will win a share of the trait lottery prize pool for that epoch if staked:
1st Place Trait - 60% of Prize pool distributed among staked Zeebros with trait
2nd Place Trait - 30% of Prize pool distributed among staked Zeebros with trait
3rd Place Trait - 10% of Prize pool distributed among staked Zeebros with trait
All staked Zeebros with the drawn winning trait share equally in the prize split allocated to that trait.
If even one Zeebro is staked with a winning trait the prize will be distributed -- if no Zeebros with the selected trait are staked, this prize pool is rolled over and added to the next epoch's pot.
Jackpot Lottery
The Jackpot lottery prize pool is 20% of the daily epoch pot.
Every epoch, 3 of 3,333 Zeebros will be drawn. Each Zeebro will win a share of the Zeebro lottery prize pool for that epoch if it is staked:
1st Place Zeebro - 60% of Prize pool distributed
2nd Place Zeebro - 30% of Prize pool distributed
3rd Place Zeebro - 10% of Prize pool distributed
There can only be 3 Jackpot Lottery winners at maximum for every lottery instance.
If a selected Zeebro is not staked, they forfeit the prize and the missed winnings are rolled over into the next epoch's prize pool.
How It Works
A new epoch begins (12:00 AM UTC).
The previous day's platform profits and NFT royalties are calculated, and the specified NFT staked share is transferred (in USDC) immediately into the new epoch's pot. Unstaking taxes also accrue into the pot throughout the day.
Midway through the day (12:00 PM UTC), one of 5 Zeebro attribute classes will be drawn for the Trait Lottery by invoking the VRF contract (each attribute has an equal chance of being selected):

Shortly before the end of the day (11:59 PM UTC), the VRF contract is invoked to draw 3 traits from the drawn attribute and 3 Zeebros. Staking and unstaking are frozen for this short time window (1-2 minutes).
80% of the epoch pot is allocated to the Trait Lottery prize pool and 20% of the epoch pot is allocated to the Jackpot Lottery prize pool.
The 3 traits and 3 Zeebros that were drawn come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for their respective lotteries, and split their respective prize pools in a 60/30/10% split (current configurations which may change).
Following the draw, all records are updated on-chain to reflect winning players.
The Trait and Jackpot Lottery prizes will be distributed to the winning players IF their Zeebros are staked.
The process then restarts for the next epoch.
If any of the winning Zeebros are not staked, or no Zeebros with the winning trait are staked, their shares of the prize pool roll over to the next epoch's pot.
There is a larger likelihood of larger prize rollover for the Jackpot Lottery than the Trait lottery.
This is because the Trait Lottery prize pool is only rolled over if there are 0 NFTs with that trait staked.
