Depositing into play balance

What is a "play balance"?
Zeebit is a non-custodial protocol, and your funds are never transferred to or held by a third party organization. Zeebit v2 introduced a new web3 concept called "account abstraction", which enables what we call a "play balance".
You can think of the "play balance" as an allowance of funds which a temporary delegate signer in your browser has limited control over. It can do two things: approve bets on Zeebit that you choose (without needing you to sign in your browser wallet every time); or withdraw funds back to the original wallet (i.e. only to your wallet).
Although there is no real "deposit" in a traditional sense (i.e. no transfer to an organization) and the funds remain in your control at all time, we simplify understanding by using the same language -- "deposit" and "withdrawal".
To initiate a deposit, click the pink "Deposit" button in the navigation bar. This will open the funding modal. The left hand column shows the balance of funds in your browser wallet while the right hand column shows the amount in your play balance.
To open the deposit or withdrawal interface, click the transfer icon (🔁) next to the token you wish to deposit.
In the Deposit tab, input the amount of tokens you would like to transfer into your play balance and click "Deposit".
You will be asked to confirm a transaction in your Solana wallet. This will include a transfer of the specified token amount, as well as a small amount of SOL to cover the temporary "rent".
The SOL "rent" will be returned to you in two parts (a) after the deposit is completed, and (b) after you finish your session of play on Zeebit.
The process to apply the deposit may take a few seconds to confirm (or slightly longer in cases of high congestion on Solana). You will see a loading symbol appear in the balances widget and a message in the bottom left hand corner updating on the progress.
Once completed, you will be asked to sign another transaction which will return part of the SOL rent to your wallet.
Once the process has been completed, you will see a success message and the updated deposit reflected in your play balance.
In rare cases, the deposit may fail or stop part way through. This is generally due to issues landing transactions on a congested Solana network. We suggest the following:
Leave the page sit for about 2 minutes and refresh
After the refresh, either you should see that the balance has updated, or a message in the bottom left hand corner may indicate that the deposit is being retried.
If after this the issue still persists, please raise a ticker on our support channel.
